A Pokemon Story
Chapter 9
Sandstorm
The near
outskirts of the town where very scarcely inhabited and the countryside in
brackets, started of quite quickly. That is if what you consider countryside
isn’t grassy plains and giant valleys of trees and flowers and green stuff in
general. Rocks and boulders embellished the ground and the roads, although
being wide, were empty most of the time as no cars really drove away from this
side of the town. Fact wasn’t that it led nowhere but on the other hand it
didn’t really lead anywhere either. The next inhabited area was really far away
and in between were little places for people to stay. Good thing he had taken
his ‘How to have a good trip while on foot’-manual with him, he thought. That
was meant to be ironic, he didn’t really own one.
The weather
kept being balmy but more clouds approached by the hour and even someone not
trained to be a weatherman could predict some bad weather coming up. The sky
turned from light blue into a dirty beige colour, which looked a lot like a
bright afternoon sky, with the sun going down somewhere behind those clouds. That
was probably what everyone would assume. However, Chris knew better. The farther
he walked, the more severe the effects of the upcoming sandstorm were. The wind
got colder and his sight got weaker. Some reasons to believe he got nearer to
his target with every single footstep he did. Only did he end up having two of
them, one of which he didn’t have a proper way of dealing with it. Like a
father being angry over his disobedient child, he had to look for that Azelf
shown on TV earlier. Arceus knew what trouble it would get him into.
